I have an 02 audi tt quattro 225hp and I know it's a common problem but the dash lcd screen is malfunctioning...is it usually a problem with the screen itself or something else in the dash? I only ask this because I'd like to try and fix it myself since you can buy the screens. What throws me off is the visible pixels are different everytime I get in the car. And if I remove the dashboard am I going to have problems with the vehicle after it's installed again like with starting or anything or does audi need to reprogram it yo my vehicle like the immobilizer unit? And how do I know if it's a jaeger or vdo unit?

 

from module masters a place that repairs these, disconnect battery mininum 10 minutes then remove cluster, their replacements are lifetime warranty, stock LCD are said to just burn out, there are cheap as well as good replacements, its not supposed to be too easy, good luck, my 01 TT is out too
