oops spoke too soon, still getting creak from front end, will maybe try replacing strut bushings next time.

 

You gotta isolate/identify where it's coming from. Otherwise your gonna be spending money replacing stuff that might not be a problem. I also think it sounds like your CV joint. Mine went out and sounded exactly the same. Just because your boot is still intact doesn't mean it's ok. You need to get it up on a lift and find out where exactly your problem is. Start moving things with a heavy pry bar to look for excessive play or duplicate your noise.

 

Was plagued by the same noise. The local mechanic changed out the rear bushings on both control arms (which were cracked and worn), and the noise GOT MORE PRONOUNCED!

He then replaced the front sway bar bushings and the noise went away!!!
