evoms or vtda??

RE: evoms or vtda??
I would say go with the VTDA. While I don't have one myself (yet), I have not heard a complaint from anybody who has one. There is a soundclip on wak-tt.com of the vtda, and it sounds pretty awesome. Also, I like the fact of supporting Steve, rather than a larger company. I've heard good things of evo motorsports too.. so either one you should be happy with.
Also, if you get the VTDA, be sure to order the low profile hood seal or trim, it's only ten bucks, and it's pretty beneficial for a couple of reasons.
Good Luck

RE: evoms or vtda??
I have had a evoms intake on my jetta and it worked really nice. I was lookin into gettin one for my TT but then i was persuaded by all these great folks to get the vtda from steve. Steve is awesome, he handmakes everything and his products work like a champ. Also the prices are reasonable. If you could get the evoms for cheaper than the modshak than its a tough decision otherwise i would go with the vtda. And yes get the strip, you can hear your intake and engine a lot more but i kinda like it, plus it will lower the temps by about 18degrees (if i can remember right). Plus is a very easy install

not quite sure about the performance difference.. can't be much i'd think.. wow 5 minutes away would be really damn tempting.. you could have it right away! In the end though, I'd personally spring for the VTDA because of the room for upgrading to Stage 2 and 3.. if you go the modshack route again in the future. It's a tough call, but good luck.

I have the VTDA and love it, like it was said earlier that its nice supporting Steve, who will always remember his clients and is willing to help you with anything or any questions that you have. Tempting as it may be becasue of the location of the EVOMS I say go with Modshack.

I got the TTDA from Steve and really like it. What I do during the winter is take the cover off the TTDA and it becomes a modified VTDA in a sense, then during the summer I put the cover back on to help protect from heat.
And when I say cover I just mean the very front cover not the whole cover.
