Fawkin mechanic

So, I bought the TT as a daily driver to eliminate all the crazy maint. expenses on my Hummer. Doh!

Mechanic wants 1500 bucks for sway bar linkage, belt and tensioner, and hazard relay (damn blinkers). Better than that, the wasted extended warranty wont cover jack.

Any thoughts?

DIY. the only hard part is the belt and tensioner. you should do the water pump while your there anyway.

Get an independent shop to do the Timing Belt, you should be able to do that for no more than $800 including parts.

Sway bar is an easy DIY and so is the hazard relay
