Default Water Pump Cost

Hey all,
Does any one know how much does it cost to replace the water pump at the dealership versus getting it done from an outside mechanic. Your input will be appreciated.
Thanks

How many miles on your car? If you are approaching 60,000 miles then you should be considering doing the timing belt, tensioner at the same time. You should be able to find an independent shop to all of it including parts for under $800.

i charge 500 hundred for labor so most independents should be there or a 100-200 bucks higher.

If you insist on a dealership repair, count on $1000-1200+. You should get the timing belt done regardless, it all has to come off anyways so it wont (shouldnt) increase the labor costs by much.

You dont wanna see the bill after a timing belt failure.
