Default Got Revo

Hello Guys and Gals,

I got Revo'ed today and all I can say is WOW...
As my friend Tim the Toolman Taylor would say... AOOGH AOOGH AOOGH... [sm=drooldude.gif]

Day started by me getting out of bed and zooming over to DTR Performance in Florence, Kentucky.
Don't ask me why I have to travel 122 Miles to get my car Revo'ed. You would think that Indianapolis, Indiana the Racing Capitol of the World would have some tuners out here but NOOOOO.
Oh well, I made DTR in 1 hour and 40 Minutes going the speed limit all the way there.. [sm=gears.gif]

When I arrived I didn't have to wait. Pulled in my car and Jeff (the guy with the laptop) started to program the basic Revo settings for my car. Just before completion he got an error code. His laptop could no longer comunicate with my ECU. He said this was odd and it never happened before. He called the Revo Rep and was told to unhook the Battery for 15 minutes and then revert back to the stock program and then try again. To make a long story short it worked the second time around and we found out why the ECU lost connection to the laptop the first time.
My battery was almost dead. We recharged it and it worked fine afterwards. They said it's the original battery and probably close to 5 years old and that I should get a replacement fairly soon. [sm=sigh.gif]

Anyway, back to the Revo. After all was said and done I told them that if I don't feel any difference while driving it I would turn around and come straight back and demand a Refund.
They said no problem and that so far nobody came back asking for a refund. They also talked me into the SPS3 module which I probably will not use to it's full extend but it's nice for the adjustable Octane settings and the Theft Protection. The adjustable timing and Boost settings I will leave alone for now.

Okay, I am driving off and I can immediately feel the difference. The Turbo lag that was there before almost totally disapeared and it pulled like an ox in all gears but especially in the low to midrange. But even in 6th gear the car accellerated a lot stronger than before. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
I was skeptical and didn't believe it would make such a big difference but I am a believer now. The car was nice before but with the Revo Programing it is like a different car! It feels even more responsive.
Overall I am a very happy camper. :-)

Can't wait now for Steve Schwings TTDA, BAMM and Boost machine to arrive to let my baby breathe. [sm=icon_rock.gif][sm=patriot.gif]

One more thing. If any of you are thinking of getting Revo'ed this year try and wait for one of their events and try and get it then.
That is the only time that Revo will allow tuners to apply a discount on their software. It can save you 20% or about 99 Bucks. [sm=groupwave.gif]

I got Revo'd a few weeks back with my 180 and man its a kick in the paints now. I've sent a few other TT owners down to our local revo dealer and everyone pretty much says the same thing-WoW! It's probable the best money I've spent on any go fast product or system. You can really feel the difference

I heard even if you are not sure that Revo has a 5 hour text you can try out to see if you are happy with the performance or not and this trial is free

The Revo Tune for the TT is $499.00 but like CL mentioned they do have a Free Trial that works for
5 hours and then terminates. AFter that you can decide if you like it or not.
I am 2 hours away from the nearest Tuner so I just told them to put the proper software on there
and if I don't like it in 5 hours I will be back. I wasn't back

Those prices are set by REVO and the only time they give you a discount is if a Tuner is at a live event
where they offer a 20% discount or $99 bucks of the tune.
Overall it's a lot for a little piece of software that you can't even see but believe me you CAN feel it

Actually they sell their tunes in the US a lot cheaper than in other places in the world. If you were in
England they are paying up to 700 British Pounds which is about $1345 US.
