Adjusting door

Panel gaps

The panel gaps can be checked using setting gauge -3371-.

l
Dimension -A- = 4 mm+1mm

l
Dimension -B- = 4mm +1mm

l
Dimension -C- = 3.5...4.5mm

l
Dimension -D- = 5 mm±1.5mm

l
Dimension -E- = 3.5 mm+1mm

Adjusting door at striker plate

–
Slacken off bolts -2-.

–
Move striker plate -1- until door shell is flush with body contour.

–
Tighten bolts to 20Nm.
Note[/align]

The striker plate must only be adjusted towards the centre of the vehicle and not in height, as otherwise the lock could become damaged.

Once it melts, your usually good unless it gets wet and frozen again. The already melted water shouldn't refreeze.

the pass door has a bit of play when closed while the driv door has none
As in the pass. door moves up and down?
Could be from the ice you had in there. First thing I'd do is make sure the hinges are clean.
Be prepared for this...

I've found it more frustrating to be at the gas station, and not be able to fuel up!
Even with the ice removed, the bastage of a gas flap likes to freeze shut. A hairdryer or flathead screw driver work well to get it open.
haha same thing happened to me last week with the gas cap, had to get out and scrape it off really well to get it to pop open =)
