first off, this isnt about BOV's, don't worry. so i searched but didnt find what i needed. i know that you guys like sleepers alot but i wanna hear my turbo spool up. i have a cold air intake and it has gotten louder but it is more of a sucking sound that i have now rather than a whistle. is there any way i can get that whistle of the turbo spooling really loud?

 

VTDA and low profile trim (see options list)

 

VTDA, new intake hose, (cause the old one may collapse just alittle choking your turbo), once I put those on my TT I heard my turbo spool alot more and that was from inside the car.

Yes I sure did, it was great, after I put it in, that is when I knew that I had to put in the new clutch cause I started slipping, dunno it prob wasnt the clutch but rather the flywheel but anyways I knew that part of my drivetrain needed help. I strongly incourage anyone that is going to put on the VTDA to get the intake hose as well. I raced a Cobalt SS with a CAI. I was stock he put about a half a car on me. After the VTDA and intake hose I walked him by about a car inbetween us. That is some serious power.I'm not saying that the intake and hose gave me all that power butI was pretty sure that my turbo was being choked off by the stock intake hose because the power was not what I thought it should be. I just had to unleash it. Good luck.

 

The OEM turbo is only going to get so loud. If it does get alot louder its because its getting ready to take a dump.

If you want to seriously hear some spool, you need a seriously LARGE turbo. Try riding next to an 18 wheeler, yeah they use turbos twice the size of your head. For your application a T3/T4 hybrid would probably get you where you want to go, and actually make power instead of just noise.
