Default Just got APR93 Installed....

I love the power that it adds but I have noticed that it is studdering when the car gets to full boost. My car is a 01 225Q with 27k on it. Should I look into getting cooler spark plugs because they have never been replaced or should I go back to the shop that did it and have them check the program?

Thanks !

It's a good idea to change the spark plugs, but it sounds more like you need a DV. Forge007 should do the trick.

I just had the same issue on the track. Shuddering/hesistation when the car was at full boost. I thought it might be the turbo inlet pipe collapsing. It was pretty sporadic. I have stock plugs/gaps, stock DV and orig TIP.

Warranty--you stickin with the DV solution?

Any thoughts anyone?

Yeah, I think mine has the same issue sometimes also. And I have a DV. I think I should have lubed up the diaphragm on the DV when I did my last oil change.

Holy crap this has been what Ive been looking for!!!! Ive been having a problem with the shuttering myself. I originally bought the DV007 bc they said it was the best dv out there. So is that the problem before I go out and buy another one? I thought it was the turbo itself????? I still need help

The stock dv can fail after being chipped and you should replace it before having it fail. Easy thing to do here is to check codes for missfires then replace and/or regap the plugs to .028 (gap for chipped 1.8t's).

My Avant shudders under full throttle. I'm running an APR R1. I'm too lazy to get it swapped out for a warranty replacement. I need to do it soon though cos' it's just plain annoying.

The stock 225 valve SHOULD be able to take the tune. Before APR made the R1, they used the stock 225 valve on their BT setups...
I'd do the plugs first, see if that fixes it.
