As for the w/m, that is a great addition, much better than the money wasted on the **** or vdta BS. You will see like murder has said, 20-30whp on a stock turbo (small increase in boost and big increase in timing) and more with a larger turbo that can make power boost over 25psi. With the stock turbo, you gain little after the psi is maxed at 22-23psi, exhaust is freed up and you have a fmic. The only thing left is to cool the charge further and increase timing. People even with BT's see more gains by running less boost and more timing than just cranking up the boost as far as possible.

Thanks for your input Cincy. I expected something like that from you, but thanks nonetheless.
FWIW, timing for car #3 was pulled back using Lemmiwinks, but yes, the extra cooling (via FMIC) should have made a difference. And secondly, as I admitted, this is not a really admissable or valid test, but it made for good observation of our turbo under load. I understand launching from a dig depends a lot on driver skill and shift points, so we didn't want that sort of test.
Also, I never said the best mods were intake, exhaust and chip-- I explained that those basic mods were quite enough to maximize the turbo, efficiently. Of course there are additional mods that do help. I know Cincy is a stern believer in W/M injection. I don't know anyone who has installed that, but its often talked out here on Audiforums. Cincy, do you have W/M in your car?

I havent got to that point yet, me not having an engine in my car in all. But when i get it back i certainally will.

So your now comparing cars and saying they are all pretty much equal after handycapping the car with a fmic by pulling its timing back? This "test" was worthless but to mention modshack stuff. Oh, and im sorry, "mazimize the turbo" but still just BS. the Chip, dp, and w/m would be the best 3 for your $$$. But a full exhaust and ic upgrade is also a must since the ic's are a flow restriction and just heat soak after a chip. An intake is a worthless mod and you make it seem important.

So until you prove otherwise.....

im sure the person who already installed it on here (jacetun i think) is still waiting for the boost from his turbo to reach the TB with the piping route

You can use them, but they arent the best bang for the buck. If your looking for that, i would go with a tuner-stop kit or find the piping kit on ebay and then get a nicer intercooler
