lost remote key-new user question

Default lost remote key-new user question

am i able to use the plastic reserve key to get into my remote (red light flashing) locked 2001 audi tt without the alarm going on and not being able to shut alarm off?!

well if your key is inside the car you can use the plastic key to get inside and get that key, and im pretty sure it wont set off the alarm either and if it does pop the fuse that says central locking system/ cargo light, and it will turn it off i believe.

I think the plastic key well set off the alarm and the car wont start with it. This is because it doesen't have the imobilzder (sp?) in the plastic key.

I got a brand new switch blade key/remote from the dealer for $130.

Oh yeah, and by law an alarm can only go off for up to 1 minute per time it's triggered. So, it won't be going off all day.
