First of all,

I am a new user, so apologies in advance if I am posting this in the wrong section.

I am thinking about purchasing a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, but seems there are some engine problems going on with it . One of the problems is changing the timing belt. There is also a sound whenever you turn on the car; sounds like the pistons or metal rubbing against each other.

When i asked the service mechanic as to what might be causing the problems , they said that they do not know for sure what it might be, but estimate the mechanic work is going to be around 15-18 hours.

Lol they're full of ****. They can't give an estimate for repair time unless they know the issue. Take it to get looked at somewhere else.

 

15-18 hours? And you didn't smacked him in the face? The least you could have said was to go F**k himself.
