Question Need for sure answer on k04

Alright guys, I don't want to beat a dead horse but after sitting here for three days reading all over the web, I have yet to have a for sure answer on this. Every thread I've read from here to audizine.com people post the same link from vwvortex and get crappy with the OP who started it on the question. Are the k04-020, k04-022, and k04-023 identical in mounting size, turbine size, and etc. I know for a fact the 023 has a temp sensor hole that can be blocked off. My issue is that my turbo is gone and I'm almost done pulling it out but finding the 022 (which is on my car) (01 tt 225 quattro roadster) is impossible to find. I found ONE k04-020 and they claim it is identical to the 022. I just want to know for sure before I paypal 800 dollars to someone across the United states. Like I've said I've been sitting here on forums, google, and calling friends so I've definitely tried finding for myself. I called the local Audi dealer and he laughed at me and said "I don't know what k04 numbers they are, I just know what the computer says" Thanks in advance guys !

The egt probe is the only difference. And yes, the parts jockeys are morons. They dont know anything about the parts they hand you and are hopeless unless you actually have the part number.

So the k04-020 would be an identical match and mate for my 225 which currently has the k04-022 with out modifying software, or any hardware? I thank you sir for the response!
And yes I was sort of dumb founded when he knew nothing I was asking or explaining. He asked for the part number as you said lol

If your trying to go faster your gonna be very dissapointed in a Ko4. they are still SMALL. but then again its a cheap direct bolt on. you wont get any different performance numbers either until you get the software for it. the whistle is nice though

In my eyes its a waste of money. go big or go home

I wasn't trying to go faster. Im trying to fix my car by replacing the blown turbo so it can be a DD again. I just bought the car with intentions of driving it everyday no matter what weather we have. I was considering the frankenturbo setup with the software tune but I've moved away from that since I've read a number of times that a rod replacement will be in my future with that setup or worse.
