Default New idea R8 headlights for TT

ive been thinking of ways to give some extra appeal to the front of our lovely TTs(no pun intended) and i really like this LED under the head light and thought if i could somehow copy that look into our clear corners that might look pretty cool....its been awhile since i was upclose to the R8 and cant remember how big those LEDs are and if they look just like regular LEDs that you can get from radioshack....the colors are endless but i think i will get a off color blue like these....i dont imagine this being that had to accomplish a simple harness all in series with each other etc etc.....prolly could find some 12v LEDs so power isnt an issue......GIVE me some feedback on this....

well damn same exact thing im planning...its all good i see what looks good and doesnt look good....im thinking that the clear corners are stronger plastic than the oem orange ones....anyone wanna confirm that....thats my only fear that i will crank them when drilling the holes...i plan on using a diamond tip drill bit for my dremel and that should help a lot....also interested in finding higher quality LEDs then the Radioshack ones...

As I write this my headlights are apart waiting for paint to dry after removing, and patching the holes from those ugly reflectors. A friend called to go get something to eat earlier, and I told him, " I can't right now, my car is in the oven." He didn't ask anything, he just said "You've finally lost your mind with that car." Maybe he's right.

poor guy doesn't know what he's missing...

anyway, Id like to do an LED turn signal, but rather than have the bulbs stick out the front like the ones from vortex, I want them behind, or imbedded in a piece of plastic. I was thinking either make a set of clear corners, and then frost the plastic (I don't think that's been done), or use part of my .5" thick mousepad (12" square block of Lexan). I could cut it to shape, bend it to fit the profile, and then countersink/polish holes halfway thru for the LEDs. I think it'd offer some diffused light thru the whole assembly, which would look cool. I'd also want to do a very faint steady on, and then a bright flash for the turn signal.

Feel free to work off my idea if you want.
