This car will be my daily driver but I want to have fun with the car.......My daily driver turned in to a race car hoping to make 800-1000rwhp+ twin turbo'd cobra....... Thanks for your help..Eddie

You can chip a 225 and get more power than a 3.2. But the 3.2 has the option of a twin turbo setup from HPA Motorsports that has the potential to take it well over 500 HP. The 3.2 is heavier and only comes with the DSG transmission. The 225 has a 6-speed manual.

Take a look at the FAQ. There is a link in there for the TT buyers guide posted on VWvortex, it has a good run down of all the production years of the MK1 TT with options and many of the known problems.

Just know that with any of the 1.8T's you are going to need to change the Timing Belt/Tensioner every 60K, so check to see if it has been done on the one you are looking at, or get them to discount you $1000 or so to have it done.

hey guys,

Well as of monday I am going in to sign the paper work on my new used TT, went on saturday with my father, he drove it and liked it alot. Took him to give me his input and okayed it.... Left a depost and on monday signing the papers, it coming out to be 20,950.

2003 TT 225hp 6 speed

brilliant black with black interior
all options except navi...
has 39k on.......

What can I do to take it over or at 300hp, I don't want a race car as I have my twin turbo cobra for that.

I just want something to play with the import crowd.....
