Just be warned that you are not going to be able to use the socket again and you are out $5. You can always get he K&N filters with a socket on it already if you are worried about it. If you just install it hand tight, you wont have any trouble removing it the next time either

My first oil change took 5 hours... 6 filter wrenches. I bent two screw drivers. It was on tight. Several people tried and failed at removing it. Also- avoid the ecs drain plug like the f'ing plage. They sent me (and others) the wrong pitch and this stripped the oil pan.

I have gotten a letter from them yesterday about the timing belt inspection, but I didn't know they replace seniors for free. Does that mean I can trade my old dad in for a younger richer version?

Did you order the ECS magnetic drain plug? I just got mine from Autozone for about $2.95 It works great! I use the plastic washer that came with it and it seems to seal better than the copper washers at least for me.

I have a friend that had some issues with the replacement plugs that he purchased from ECS. He buys them about 5 or 10 at a time and he did find at least one of them not threading right when he tried to use it on my car.
We didn't force it and just put the old plug back in which worked fine. After that I just got the Magnetic Plug from Autozone and so far no issues.
