Default Only lasts 5k miles????!!

K so i replaced my MAF at like 75000 miles. Cuz it went bad.... obviously. So i bought a new one of ECS and installed it. Car ran great. No problems. Until... this morning ( OH and this is only 5000 miles later) Went to start up the car, and it just started freaking out. Engine barely turning over and being really clunky. So i popped the hood and unplugged the MAF and the car kicked back up and ran fine. So.... the NEW MAF lasted 5k miles before dyin. Is there anything that could cause a MAF to die suddenly and so soon? I check warrenty with ECS and they dont offer full warrenties with any electrical product. So that pretty much sucks

maybe some oil from your intake filter? Or maybe just a bad product. when you unplug the MAF, do you get a CEL?
