Default Power Gains?

When you add a aftermarket intake, is there any power gains ? I see some people say the intake is noticeable and some say they don't do anything? I was thinking modshack intake but if its not going to do anything why waste the money or if anyone actually knows of an intake that produces. This is for a 225hp. Any ideas on this?

Thanks

My TT is only the 180hp, but i bought the Neuspeed P-flo intake for my car and it claims anywhere from 8-15 hp gain depending on what type of car you are installing it on.
I def. noticed an increase in 0-60 acceleration. I also have the borla catback exhaust installed so she sounds real nice too.

www.goapr.com is also a site to take a look at because they have a whole crapload of parts that work well together and their intake looks reall good and if i had seen it before i purchased the Neuspeed intake i would have got that one.

the idea with the modshack intake is that you're keeping the intake charge cooler. cooler air is denser air, and since its more dense, you can pack more of it into the engine. More air, more power.
