Default Quick tire question...

I'm in need of a new set of tires. I'll be making a 1300 mile trip on the first weekend of August and I was hoping to get my tires replaced before then. I currently have a set of BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 225/40/18 and they have worked very well for me. So I went to the local Discount Tire and checked on getting another set of the KDW's but they cannot find them anywhere. The guy checked online and called several different places and I did the same when I got home. Apparently they are on back order for at least 4-6 weeks! But the guy at Discount Tire said that my car would accept 235/40/18 and that I could get the KDW's in that size put on this week. So would I notice any difference as far as performance/comfort/noise with the 235 vs the 225? Are there any real benefits or disadvantages with the wider tire? Thanks!

You will just have another 10mm tread path which is a good thing.

On my TT it seems the wider I went the better she handled.
