Default Some quick TT Q's from a newbie?

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, and interested in purchasing a TT.

Just a little background info: Last year, I was debating between the TT and 3 series bimmer XI. I decided on the bimmer. Due to a few problems I may sell the bimmer, and opt for the TT

I've read a few post of this forum, but not sure if these Q's have been addressed or not. I'm 6'2" and wasn't sure how I would fit inside. I just sat in one today ('02 225hp), and it seemed fine. My left knee did hit the steering wheel a few times, but with a few seat adjustments that should be fine.

How is the TT on long trips? Any annoyances?? I know this is a "personal preference" type question.
Is your TT your primier car?
How is it as a "daily commuting" car?

THANKS,

VakeJ

I am 6'2" and have not had any trouble with comfortably sitting in the TT. Make sure you height adjustment is all the way down
on the TT. When I first sat in mine I thought there was NO way but then I discovered the height adjuster on the left and I slid all
the way down which was perfect for me. Also I do have the seat all the way back but overall it does fit me perfectly. Much better
than the Mustang I had before. I driving the 3 series Beemer and it doesn't have any *****. I like the TT a lot better as far as fun
factor goes. Now the storage part is a different story. I don't think the TT is really a long range vehicle. I guess if it is just you traveling
you can probably get by driving a long distance but you will have to be careful on what you pack. Not much room in that trunk or hatchback.
Runs great on the highway and gets fairly decent gas mileage. It is my every day car and the only thing I do is change the tires in the winter
time from High Performance 18 inch rims to 17inch all seasons. Overall runs perfect!

Thanks for the feedback, very much appreciated.

I actually stopped by the Audi dealership yesterday, and spent some quality time getting to know the Audi TT. After playing around with the seat adjusters, I found my sweet spot. There is more room in the car than one would expect. I drove it for a bit, and I was grinning from ear to ear

I think the "fun factor", makes up for the limited trunk space [8D]

Thanks again...

I'm 6'4' and it is on the tighter side of the scale for me but perfectly acceptable, better than my previous car - so can't complain. I'm picking my car up (only just bought it) on friday the 1st july so couldn't tell you what its like on long journeys. Sure i will get used to driving it pretty quickly whatever it's like.

It's my wife and I's #2 car. Most days we carpool in our Rav4, but we will take the TT on Fridays or if we have to drive seperately. I'd drive it everyday if I could, but the Mrs wants to keep the miles down since we plan on keeping it for a while.
