Hi All

Newbie here and I'm thinking of buying a 94 Audi Cabriolet with 73,000 miles on it.

Just wondering if there is anything I should be looking for when purchasing this car. Are there any known problems, etc.

I did drive the car and didn't notice anything strange at all - in fact, I was suprised on how nice it did drive and corner. A little disappointed with the look of the leather seats but I think that's pretty minor. No rust and the paint looks in nice shape.

Any advice or thoughts is helpful.

1. Does the top work.
2. Did it have the timing belt/water pump/thermostat/pulleys/serpentine belt changed recently
3. How are the brakes - squeaking?
4. Is it leaking oil?
5. How are the struts?

These are all issues I am repairing or have already repaired. The interior on the cabriolet all seem inconsistently worn compared to the mileage. Not bad, just a bit disappointing. Ask about these items. Spend $25 on CarFax for sure!!
