Default Someone put wrong MAF on my TT??

I've been troubleshooting a loss of boost. After repairing several leaks I'm now lookin at the MAF. I took the thing off to make sure of the part number and what I see looks to be the incorrect MAF part all together. What's on there is

Bosch #'s: 0 280 218 017
VW OE # 071 906 461 B

From everything I've found online I need

Bosch #'s: 0 280 218 032 / 0280218032
VW OE # 06A 906 461 D ( 06A906461D )

This post is more of a rant than anything. I don't expect anyone to know this off the top of their head but it would be nice to get confirmation that this is not right.

The one you have is for a VR6 (same size), the one you listed you need is smaller and for a ATC TT. You need the 06a that ends in E

You gotta be kidding? Why do all these parts stores list 0280218032 for this AMU engine? Well, guess I'll be trying it when it comes in. Thanks for the reply.

Its best to check with ecstuning.com and/or mjmautohaus.com. Both show the E version as the correct one. Im sure someone got a deal on one they couldnt pass up or told wrong by a dumb parts monkey

Default I ran into issues here too

I had the same problem when I needed to switch out a bad MAF on my 01 QC. According to bosch the part number I have on my car wasn't used till the 03 model year, but the engine has the amu stamp on it. Everything I ordered was too small for my hoses. Eventually I special ordered the same part number I had on the car and everything bolted up and worked fine. YMMV.

Kinda scary how varied this stuff is seemingly for a specific year model and engine type.
