Default Squeak Squeak!

So my car squeaks over bumps a lot. It does not do it all the time. I thought it was the sway bar but when I took it to the dealer they said the sway bar was fine. They looked at all the bushings and they checked the shocks. Any thoughts? If it matters I have the 02 225hp roadster. The squeaking is driving me insane. I think it is comingfrom the back. With the top up I can't hear a thing. I want to drop the top because it is sunny but the noise makes me want to drive over teh cliff. Please advise.

I'm gonna stick with bushings on this one. I get it when i jack my car up, more when its dry. if its been rainy, and theres water around all those moving parts, it lubes it enought to keep it quiet.

Cool. I guess I will take it back and have them look again. Are you refering to the bushings on the sway bar or shocks?

My '01 squeeks as well but just when the suspension is active. Try having someone bounce the car while it is stationary and flush out the noise. When you find the suspect part, hit it with a silicone lubricant. It will eventually dry out but you will then know the culprit.

WHen my car goes in for a timing belt change, I will have them look at mine and let you know what they come up with.

PS. Anyone know where to get a good deal on a timing belt? I also am going to replace the H20 pump at the same time.

I used the dieselgeek kit.

Has everything you'll need, plus cam seals, if you happen to find them leaking while you're in there, plus a neat little set of screws to help you yank the stubborn water pump from its home.

So the dealer finally heard the noises. I am so happy. They have replaced the front and rear sway bars and the rear passenger side shock. I pick it back up tommorow. Wish me luck. Best part they warantied it all as my car was a certified pre-owned.
