Squeeks are probably your control arm bushings. I have them and just live with them. I just turn up the stereo.

A few weeks ago I noticed my steering would make a sound like Chubaca (sp?). Found my power steering fluid was low. I flushed the fluid and found the leak (bad hose clamp). That took care of my steering noise. Not sure if that is what your problem is, but it would be worth checking.

Sway bar bushing squeek pretty often too. You can try disconnecting the end links and rotating it. If they squeak theyre bad.

Yeah, I have the same noise on my TT. They don't make a single noise when going straight but when making u turns or sharp left and right turns it does. It sounds like the tires are rubbing against something what's even funnier is that it doesn't happen all the time. I do know that the noise is in the back but that's about it. I also have a very annoying squeek on the driver side window. No matter if it is going up or down it squeeks all the way and it is a little embarrasing when you have a lady next to you.....if you know what I mean.....

Hey russtt i misread your post. You may have bad wheel bearings. Is the noise louder on the opposite side of the way your turning? IE. Turn left, noise on right. Squeaks and rattles are pretty common on the tt's. One quick check is the cargo cover in the rear. Try removing that and see if any noises go away.

rodrigueza7 clean the seals all around the window really good. If that doesnt get rid of the noise use a rubber lubricant/conditioner on the seals.

Dankhound: I'll try cleaning the rubber seals on the side of the glass and see what happens. About the rubber lubricant, I thought about it but never did it cause I thought the oily film was going to collect more dust than it already had.

About the squeek when turning, in my case is not really a squeek is more like a grinding noise that's why I thought the tires were rubbing on a plastic or something. I have to get under the car and see what's up.

The wheel bearings do make a grinding noise. The key is that it does it when you turn. Which leads me toward wheel bearings? One bad thing about the lubricant is that it will spear on the windows for a while. I leave it for a week or so while periodically operating window. Then wipe everything down good.
