Default Temp Light Acting Up

I have a 2004 1.8L Roadster. 40000 miles. The temp light often comes on right when I start up the car. If I turn it off and start it up again, it is fine. It has never come on while driving. Bad sensor?

Sounds like it. Make sure your CTS is plugged in all the way, and that there's no gunk/corrosion on the connector.

temp warning light? huh? Not the low coolant warning? Add a bit of water/coolant, see what happens.

What does the manual say about it? What does Service say about it? I'm guessing it is doing a self-check, and it's normal, since you didn't say this has just started occuring.
