I have a 2004 TT roadster. Today I had some kind of transmission failure. I was driving along at about 40MPH and the transmission down shifted to first gear and stayed there. I have the 3.2L with the 6 speed DSG transmisson. As it happens the car was turning 60K miles at the exact time this happened. The PRNDS lights became backlit and are flashing.

Has anyone else had or heard of this type of failure?

 

The dreaded DSG failure. Its usually more a more of a electrical problem rather than mechanical. I found this link on another forum I'm on.

Is 60k the limit on warranty? If its real close, the dealer may still fix it.
