Default transmission tunnel removal?

Does anybody know how to (a link is good too) remove the transmission tunnel in the interior?

I want to route an Ipod cable from underneath the rear seat into the cubby that has the trunk and gas cap release buttons.
I know there are screws in the cubby and underneath the cupholders, any others? does it just snap off?

Also, i dont need to remove the whole thing (i'd have to remove the shift **** i guess), if i can lift it up an inch or so to get the cable there,
that would be excellent!

Thanks in advance guys!

Nobody?

I kinda figured that the aluminum braces on the console have to be removed too...

Its been a while since ive pulled one out but from what i can remember its pretty easy. Just remove the bolts under the cup holder, take off those aluminum braces, and you should be able to pull it up. Post your VIN number and i can give you pics of how to pull it off of ELSA web.
