Theres one more thing that pisses me off on my car. love da car 2 death but electronics on vw/audi is ****.

Well, ever since the trunk light started going off, the alarm doesn't work. Everytime I open a door the trunk opens. I dont know if its a sensor or latch or what, but the doors&trunk do lock with the remote. Is the trunk and alarm related???

 

Sounds like a bad remote to me. Does it happen with both of them or just the one?

 

nope i dont think. because everything locks and opens with the remote including the trunk. its when i open the door, the crap starts. you think its the trunk latch switch?

 

That's possible. I've not encountered it myself, but it is plausible. You might also want to check the switch in the storage compartment.
