Default TT 180 Revo

I have a 2002 TT180 Quattro 5-Speed manual and was looking to get the Revo download as well as the SPS switch. I am trying to find the safest mod possible as far as my factory warranty goes and was wondering if any of you have installed this program under a warranty. Is it possible for the dealer to detect this software? I would greatly appreciate any information regarding Revo software under a warranty.

The site advertises that it can't be detected, but I'd like to know the same thing.

I have a 2000 TT 180Hp and I just got the software mod this morning... you can totally feel the difference.. in terms of the torque...

The car is stocked and the only thing I changed is a Forge Diverter Valve.

If I have to go to the dealer I can just bring it back to 180 before it gets to the shop....

If the Dealer drives my car the muffler sounds a bit different.. so they might know that something is up...

it will only take them less than a min to figure out if you change something if they plug their laptop into your car.... all the specs will show.. :S

so i would advice you to talk to whoever is going to mod your car and change it back when your going to go back to the dealer...

I've read that many people who installed REVO in their TT, have experienced a "screeching sound" on acceleration. I believe the problem is more prevalent on a 225HP TT. Was just wondering if you experienced this problem?

It's not the tires. Here is the response that I got from REVO with regard to this issue:

"The Screeching you refer to is a noise that does occur on some of the earlier cars due to a difference in the shape of the inlet tract on those cars. When you increase the air speed over that particular shape inlet you do get a screeching noise but this is due to movement of air as opposed to any kind of mechanical problem. This is not something you should experience on a 180hp car as we have only had reports of this on 225 hp, S4 and RS4 cars."
