Default RE: tt opinions and problems

I have always prefered Japanese cars. I have owned several my best one was my 97 Eclipse GST Spyder with tons of mods including a nice turbo upgrade. Sold that about 3-4 yrs ago. My new one is an 08 Civic Si and I also have an 03 Mazda protoge hatchback. I love my TT it is an absolute blast!! The looks, the feel, everything about the drive. I have gotten more compliments..people, young and old, actually walking up to the car talking to me about it more than any other vehicle I have owned. Mine is decently modded and is currently garaged to just be a project car. The reason why....it has been completely unreliable. It has put such a bad taste in my mouth on the reliabilty factor that for me, I would have a hard time purchasing another Audi/VW again.

The parts for modding are very spendy compared to the Japanse scene. But man I love those chips! talk about bang for the buck! Be ready to dump some heavy cash for modsand the needed repairs if they should arise. This is only my experience with the TT it is a wonderful car but has it's fair share of problems. Have fun bud but set aside some duckets!
