turbo troubles, please help
Could this be bad sparkplugs???? It sure does sound like it...jamming on the throttle and it starts cutting out. An easy $15 fix if it is. If the car drives fine under light acceleration but bogs or hesitates when you jam on it...you can feel and hear it...plugs or packs. I would start with plugs.
ditto on the plugs.
Unless you're driving on a volcano or something, I've never heard of heat soak being so debilitating for normal road driving, ESPECIALLY for a stock car. Only exception I can think of would be a totally caked over intercooler. Just like a radiator, it doesn't hurt to make sure the front of it isn't full of bugs/road debris that could reduce airflow thru it.

If it was the plugs it would be on ALL pulls, not after the car had time to heat up. Also, the temp is changing and this would be very noticeable for a newish turbo driver. Plus, if its stock, there is no need to gap down the plugs

water/ meth injection can range a lot, kits are sold for 400, But you can DIY* by using your window washer reservoir and buying the necessary pumps and hoses and injectors.
*only recommended if you live somewhere without snow or a lot of rain, like Arizona.

I think he was talking about using the washer reservoir as the tank for water/meth injection.
Seeing as if you lived in a area with a lot of rain/snow you wouldn't be able to clean the windshield/headlights.

I understande heat soak. Hell I've driven my TT thru the Eastern WA desert in the middle of summer in 100 degree weather before I had my FM. Yeah there was some loss in power but by no means to what he is describing.
To back what I am saying here is the original thread I made where your lovely insite helped me!!

What i am saying is that he would experience the misfires (if there was any) from the time he starts the cars and drives it. He doesnt experience the loss of power until heatsoak can kick in. plus there is not light flashing on his cluster.
Also i bet if he vagged his car he would see very high iat's when its running bad as opposed to normal. Also would bet there was no misfire codes. You could be right, but thats not what im getting from his discription
