hello, i dont know if these are normal or not,but they are annoying the hell out of me.
I drive a 99.5 A4qt Trip with 142k.I did search the forums ,but cant find any answers.
these are some problems and iam looking to fix it myself (i want to learn about my car)
- pushing gas pedal is hard ,car feels like driving a tank.
- pushing break pedal is soft and when my foots not on gas,(going downhill) it softly breaks itself.
- Acceleration is weak and during it,it sometimes pops
- i have 2 cels, main cat :bank 1: efficiency below threshold and brake light switch f implausible signal ,iam currently searching on these.
- when its raining, car flies! lol
- also can a 97 a4 have parts for 99.5 like almost interchangeable.

 

Judging from the fault codes the cat converter is all pluged up which is robbing you of horsepower and torque accross the powerband. So either put in a testpipe (if its legal) or get a highflow cat.

As for the brake light switch, you need to replace that. Those can cause all sorts of problems from ABS activations at random times to shifting problems.

 

thank you, i have gotten this cat not to long ago,i say about 9 months ago. I just got my friends 97 a4 and the cat look totally different. I have picture of it attached .

 

my headlamp were spoilt because the light not bright already.
i tink i wana change crystal headlamp i wana know bout the price if can show me display oso thanx ya
