simple really it shows the code and you look up the problem ( a laptop is used to alter the settings so performance wise its essential ) a normal code reader resets and reads codes and that it

This would be good to just scan for codes, but thats it. If you want to tune with lemmi or get logs, you need a vagcom. So its nice for the price to jsut read codes if you dont plan on getting rid of the stock turbo
