Default Vag-Com question about air/fuel mix

Well Autometrics fixed my boost problem but said the car is still back firing some. Im hoping that after about 50 miles the ECU will adjust but if not here is my question. Can I change my air/fuel mix to lean it out a bit with the Vag-Com? I get my car back Friday and I have asked them to do a Dyno run so I can get some numbers to go with the mods I have done. Thanks.

VAG is a basic tool tough comprehensive and cant do what the dyno can ( dyno = on the road car moving ) best you can do with VAG is to log data, dyno is best

If it is still backfiring, that isn't good. Did you replace the MAF?

you can log a 3rd or 4th gear pull just like you would on a dyno.

If you are running to much fuel you can use vagcomand use lemmiwinks to remove some fuel.

I was hoping I could adjust it some. My car is still at the Autometrics shop, I go back Friday to pick it up and hope the drive back resets the ECU so it wont be too rich any more but if it is I will have to try and adjust it myself. It wasnt throwing the too rich code before I had the boost issue so Im hoping it fixes itself. Also looking forward to a dyno pull to see my hp/torque numbers. They have it at 19 psi right but Im not sure if that is a spike or constant. If its a spike then Ill have to adjust the MBC to about 20 or 21 psi.

You can reset the ECU yourself... Just unplug it from the negative from battery <thanks Avant80>for about 10 minutes and then plug it back in.

very unwise, remove the battery ground and turn all the auxiliary electrics on to deplete any memory chip in the system ( do not unplug the ECU ) under any circumstances while the battery is connected otherwise the price of repair will go out of the window
