Version 2.0.......T (Engine at shop!!!)
Then use the ko3s in the lower picture everything else (the other turb’s) are going to be too small. With the “disp.-up” that your doing its going to need to breath. Disparately! Then sell everything else. The only other alternative is to modify the turbo of your choosing into something like a HKS “as near as possible” but that’s not an easy feat. drilling or boring Inconel cooks tools & cutters like no tomorrow, or another alterative get as close as possible to a Twinscroll turbo either way this is the only way you’ll do your displacement up any real justice. If you can pull this off,,, it will be neck snaping quick. Guaranteed !
Your not going to gain anything by modding a ko3. The increase in my displacement wont really do much harm to the turbo since its basically the same turbo used on the new 2.0T's, just w/o the bov attached to it.
i thought we had already gone through this on the "bored out K04/K03" thread... [&:].... well i guess the best thing is try doing that ... ill match up with the t3S60 .. and then lets compare.
Its ok, i was going with a 3076r and now im leaning towards a gt35r when i get all the info needed about not letting it surge. It can do ~430-450whp on pump. Talk about a fast daily. Throw in some w/m or go standalone and close to 500whp is capable on pump and 600whp with full standalone and race gas.
im not a fan of standalone... causes too many headaches and its very very sensitive... but that is just my experience. i like mine to use stock wires sensors, ecu ... but d@mn GIAC ... i bought my car with a giac .. now im pissed that it came with it... god !!!! ( sry rant started.. plus im working on SAT... yeeesh ...so many pple to sue this month !!! )
It more depends on what ems you go with and who installs and tunes it. I would only take it to someone i trusted 100% with it. But im sticking with a AWP ecu swap and Uni or Pag's tune for now. If i ever get the funds and can make the TT a nice weather car, i will then make it a power monster.
well thats what i mean, standalone is very picky with teh weather.... my buddy's AWP 1.8T is already giving him cold start problems when we had a cold spell here for a few days .. which is 3*C at night and 10*C day .. in the winter he wont be able to cold start it.
we had to do the old school style of start... push + 2nd gear roll = one hell of a sweat .
we had to do the old school style of start... push + 2nd gear roll = one hell of a sweat .
lmao i know but never fails... stil tho ... its freakin rough ... especially at idle ... holy Cr@p.. we were joking about it saying no need for cheap $0.25 motel beds, when you can jsut start her up after a good push and sit at idle.
