well... i gotta admit. i dont like the open filter look and losing the low rumble...

but i do like the newly found BoV-type sound of the DV (sounds like a subtle 004) and the newly found throttle response and higher end pull.

in the end...

as for me, pull your VTDA cover OFF!

Would the w/m be worth it if you didnt do any timing but used a boost controller to up the boost without really causing much more heat since the kit will keep the temps down?
it will lower the temps back down to a resonable level after you start moving the turbo out of its effiencey. But the small turbo can only move so much air, so 25+ psi isnt going to net you much fi anything

So the Vag-Com K series cable will not work with any of my tuning programs? I thought they said they fixed everything.

Its not the cables problem. People with ebay cables can make LW/Unisetting work

Chris have you tried DL Lemmi and use that?

I'm sorry, but I love my VTDA... I had a open p-flow style filter before and it was just plain annoying with all that whistle and sucking sound going on. the low rumble is wonderful though, I also modified my stock smic ducting so that it would send all the air from the D side lower grille up under the headlight and into the fender area so that the intake will have plenty of air to pull... and who cares about making the DV louder, just get a splitter and relocate it on the cold side of the intake... its the cleanest sound you will ever get.
do you have pics of your cold side dv relocate? .. nevermind.. saw them in your photobucket. where did you get your relo kit?
made it. using fence post and a radiator hose from advance auto that for some insane reason fits perfectly... if you look at it from the DV to the TIP, all the bends in it fit perfectly. you would think it was made for the car... when I made it I did a thread about it, I think I even put the part# from advance auto for the hose... nobody really showed interest in it though

only problem is a 180 has to run it across the engine bay and looks really bad like a tCarbon fmic kit

problem is that I have the Key-USB cable which means i need unitronics instead of Lemmingwinks.
But since Im using the Rev C cable...the software isnt wanting to cooperate. I'll drive on tomorrow with another try. fornow I've gotten a fewresponses to my post on the Unitronics thread on vwvortex.
