water meth
So if i understand right adding water meth alone will give me about 20hp, right? Well if a get a 100 octane tune and run that with water meth what kind of hp should i expect? also how long does the 2qt tank last, how many times would i have to fill it up per tank of gas? and finaly, can i run water meth all the time or sould i also get the 93 octane tune and only run water meth when i am driving hard? sorry for all the questions i just want to completely understand this before i invest in it.
So if i understand right adding water meth alone will give me about 20hp, right? Only when you increase your timing via vacom and lemmingwinks
Well if a get a 100 octane tune and run that with water meth what kind of hp should i expect? About the same
also how long does the 2qt tank last, how many times would i have to fill it up per tank of gas? Depends on the amount inject and thats hp dependent, but it should last more than a tank of gas
and finaly, can i run water meth all the time or sould i also get the 93 octane tune and only run water meth when i am driving hard? You can run it all the live long day

So if i understand right adding water meth alone will give me about 20hp, right? No. Water / Methanol by itself with no ECU adjustments does minimal anything. It WILL cool your intake temps which does add a little
Well if a get a 100 octane tune and run that with water meth what kind of hp should i expect?Nothing more than if you tweak your existing tune with Lemmingwinks like Nate said. You see, by tuning with the lemmingwinks... you're basically doing the exact same thing that a 100Oct flash does, you're advancing your timing. Both will have the same result because they both do the same thing. One is $500 more though. and one is free.
also how long does the 2qt tank last, how many times would i have to fill it up per tank of gas? If you have less than 300hp... then you only need about 200ml/min injection. if THAT is what you're running for an injector, and you have the controller set to not always be injecting (you set the controller to only inject w/m when you have the throttle wide open) then it should last you a full tank of gas. If you set the controller to provide 100% injection at only half throttle... then you'll run out fast because you use half throttle just about everytime you drive. and finaly, can i run water meth all the time or sould i also get the 93 octane tune and only run water meth when i am driving hard? You can do both... If you're going to get the 100 Oct flash instead ofjust using lemmingwinks... then get a 93 Oct too so your engine isnt pulling timing whenever you're not running w/m. this way if you're not running the w/m... you can just switch back to a regular 93 program. Ideally... you could just adjust it all with lemmingwinks and then if you dont plan on using w/m... just switch back to stock settings, its much cheaper than paying $700-$1000 for two ECU flashes.sorry for all the questions i just want to completely understand this before i invest in it.

thanks guys great info. ok so i want to just use lemmingwinks instead of getting a chip but i have no idea how to use it and what to set the timming to is it easy to use? and if i use lemmingwinks then i would also need to get a mbc.
It would help out a lot because then you could turn up your boost also for a few extra hp.
In order to use Lemmingwinks... you need a Vag-Com cable from Here
Getting the cable will also allow you access to the full diagnostics system for the car to view fault codes, vehicle performance data, change vehicle accessory settings, etc which is real nice. I still havent figured out how to use most of its functions...
