Haha you've gotten lucky then because it was like a night and day difference between the one that I replaced and the one that I replaced it with, feel-wise. When my mom drove me to one of the local dealerships (because I wouldn't drive my own car with a cracked dipstick tube that could spill oil everywhere or possibly get a foreign object into my oil), they said that because it was a common problem for A4s and TTs they actually kept a few in supply on location and that meant that I wouldn't have to order it and wait for it to be shipped.
If it does happen you your car, no worries because it is really easy to replace: like all of 20 seconds. You just slide the new one down into the place where it obviously goes and it clicks right in.
