I got a 180Q non Bose.

K so i got front JBLs, 10" pioneer with sony deck and Amp.

I want to get JBLs for the back speakers but i need to find out from those who have already replaced the rear speakers as to what size they are? Thnaks a million in advance, i have spent 45 mins on google with no luckm anything at this point is apreciated

PS. just installed the BAMM from Modshack with the FPR, realyl easy install after 80kms it kicked in. i didnt beleive it would be noticable but in fact the bottom end is quite beefier plus it was a 15 minute install with beer breaks in between. But holy does the car run rich for the first 60 km... i could smell that at the stop lights, i think i got high :s lol

 

Ibelieve the fronts are 5 1/4 component and the rears are 6 1/2. The only speaker install stuffI remember seeing is on loomknitting.com.A lot of good mods on marTT's fotki as well.

 

so 6 1/2' for the backs? can this be 100% confirmed?

 

Well i just confirmed it myself the rear speakers and the front speakers on our cars are IDENTICAL, they are both 5 1/4"

for the record... that may be YOUR car.. but my car was stock 6 ½" interior speakers. I know because I replaced them myselfwith Focal Utopia 6½ components and focal 6½ polyglass rear.

I believe the actual stock speakers said 163mm on the back.

 

Odd, i took mine apart and they were the same as my front JBLs also at the Audio store we checked the computer for the size of the speakers and it also indicated 5 1/4 ... maybe cuz mine is non bose?

in either case... it is much easier for me to find 6 1/2, i wonder if the mounting brackets will allow me to put those in instead of the 5 1/4 without any mods

 

Should be able to fit a 6.5 in both locations unless you start cuting and put 6x9 in the doors with a 6.5 componet set and juice 400 watts to each of them
