Default Where is 'Normal' on your Temp Gauge

I bought my 2001 180hp TT about 3 months ago. Throughout most of that time the temp gauge was straight up at the center position. Last week I had an overheating problem in stop and go traffic. It turned out that the contacts on the fuse bank controlling the electric cooling fan were corroded. Cleaning the contacts and replacing the fuses got the fan motor back in operation. Now, however, the normal position of the temp gauge is one tick mark to the left (cool) side of center. (BTW: This change exactly coresponds to the arrival of cooler weather here in Central Florida. Not sure how much of an impact this might have.)

Where does your temperature gauge read when the car is up to operating temperatures?

Dead center once the car is warmed up, winter or summer, which for me means anywhere from 95°F down to -30°F

I was dead center. Replaced Timing belt water pump tensioniors etc..... Now I go 1 line below to 1 line above dead center.sitting still it has gone to 1 line above when i rev the motor it goes back down. mostly to dead center sometimes to 1 line below any help would be great ly helped. I am thinking that I have a air bubble in cooling system. Im not sure how to bleed the cooling system. I was told Its self bleeding.
