WoooHoo!!!! Instrument Cluster Update Inside!
Apparently someone at Audi Corporate has heard my plight and has gifted my with a minty new cluster. Got my letter yesterday and called the local dealer, giddy with excitement. I set my appointment for Thursday. Then the service adviser told me he would have to re-test the cluster before we could order the cluster. You would think the multi-month litigation and lawsuit would have shown that of course my cluster is malfunctioning you moronic pillock!!!!
Hey disagreed, but I relented. Working for VW, I understand his obligation, but come on, he could have been nice about the entire thing.

The questiion is: who is paying for the diagnostic? Don't they usually charge around $125?
From the settlement agreement:
4.4 All Proof of Repair and Proof of Claim (including claimant's sworn statements) shall be subject to audit by Defendant, including but not limited to Defendant's right to require any person to bring their Settlement Class Vehicle to an Audi-authorized dealer for inspection prior to granting any claim.
Well, all is good in TT land. Stopped by and the local dealer ordered the cluster and it should be in by Wednesday of next week!

My cluster was bad the day I bought my car. I took it to Rusnak Audi in Pasadena and it was promptly replaced without any fuss. I had no idea about the class-action. I was just happy that the unit was under warranty.
