Nope, the sensor isnt getting pushed down hard enough into the flange while trying to slide the clip in. It's easy to make this mistake. Keep at it.

You need to take the weather stripping off in front of the battery area. Slide out the cosmetic cover that goes over the ac lines, battery, brake resevoir. Take the terminals off the battery and then there should be a retaining plate on the passengers side bottom of the battery. Youll need a socket and extension for this, I think. Lift it out being careful not to snag the terminal wires.
