There is a 2.6, but I don't think it was sold in the U.S.. That's all I know about it.

it's prolly a 2.8 if it's in the states....or it was imported....the first A4 in the states was the 1996 2.8 12v....but in 95 i think there was a 2.6 that came out, just not in the US

You don't mention which model of an Audi it is. From what I have found the 1995 80 series
came with a 2.6L V6. It was rated at 150 Hp.

Good Luck...

The 2.6 was never imported to the US, so since the vast majority of members on this site are in the US there is little/no talk about that particular engine. But I'm pretty sure I've heard mention somewhere about there having been a 1995 M/Y A4 with the 12v 2.6L V6 engine - I don't know anything else about it.

There are many models/engine sizes that the US market didn't get.

1.6 non turbo, 1.8 non turbo, 2.0 non-turbo and so on.

They started building the A4 in Germany in 1994 and it had many engines that never made it to the states because of one thing or another. The A4 made its debut here in 1996 with the 2.8L engine. The following year they added the 1.8L. So its very possible that one of the earlier made for Germany cars was shipped here. You guys here aren't old enough to remember any of these things. I knew many that went into the service and got stationed in other countries. They bought cars in those countries dirt cheap and when their tour was over they had the cars shipped back home here. So its very possible you found a 1995 with a 2.6L engine. The A4 took the place of the older 80 series Audi and they used many 2.6L engines in those. Maybe not here but in Germany. Audi in Germany has diesel engines they are using right now but you can't get them here cause they are too fuel effecient.

Good Luck...
