<IMG src=smileys/smiley6.gif border="0">I have recently bought a 1998 A4 1.6 SE, my first Audi and I need a bit of advice. I am having trouble with the instrument cluster which occasionally loses power (all dials go to zero, driver information system resets etc). The engine isn't affected so I imagine it is either the connections or I need a new cluster. Before I start taking the dash to pieces, has anyone else suffered this and can anyone offer any advice.</P>

It's pretty easy to get the dash out. Just remove the trim above the steering wheel and there are two screws to remove. Then the cluster will just pull out. Pull the connectors off and reseat them.
