Default 1998 audi A4 1.8T FWD - Car shakes at 60 MPH

My Audi shakes really bad when I go over 60MPH - I recently got new tires(balanced and aligment included), brake pads, and CV axles. Any ideas what it might be? It has 155,000 on it. The shaking seems to be coming from the front. The shaking goes away after I pass 68-70 mph.

Check for weights on your wheels if they are missing I would go back where you had the tires balanced and tell them to rebalance them. And DO IT RIGHT! DAMITTTTT !!! Make sure at every T a little bit of spit flys out of between your teeth

Or you could tell them that there is a vibration at these speeds and let them handle it.

Do you have aftermarket wheels? If so, do you have hub-centric rings? If not, that is your problem. The hub centric rings align the wheel on the hub so the lug nuts aren't holding the wheel, the hub is.

Obviously the lugs still tighten and hold the wheel on, but the wheel rests on the hub and keeps it centered.

No they are stock, rims.
I had the car since it had 80,000 miles, and have not replaced shocks or struts, if that helps any.

When was the last time you got an alignment? That has the possibility of being a cause for the vibration.

I got 4 Goodyear eagle GT tires, the aligment was done at the same time the tires were put on. The aligment tech did tell me something about Audi did not having some sort of "spec/calibration" for one of the inner or outer side, which might cause it in the long run to get de-align, I'm not really sure what he meant. The car was shaking even prior changing out the tires, brake pads and axles. I did have really bad tires at the least the front ones.

A few years back I had 19" rims with very low profile tires, and one day I hit a bad hole on the freeway. One of the wheels got a small bent, and I drove the car for some time with the bent wheel. I switched over to my stock rims and that's kind of when I started noticing the shaking.

Have you taken a look at underneath the car? The control arms. See if they wiggle. Just a quick under your car can help narrow down what may be wrong.
