im definitely going to do that. considering a seafoam treatment but im going to check if the hose is actually clogged or hindered first. when i first saw it i didn't notice any build ups at all. but definitely not something im going to double check. maybe just needs a light cleaning who knows...thanks again

I don't remember who it was but someone rebuilt that hose and I'm going to do the same. It has those screwy connectors but those can be cut off and adapted so that simple silicone tubing can be used. I plan on doing that with an inline PCV valve so that I can at least control where the inevitable clogs will be, and they can be dealt with.

The seafoam treatment should help alleviate clots in the piping - it's worth doing. As for moving to Cali, I can't blame you - NE winters can really suck as you know. No need to repay - that's why this forum exists right? Beats the hell out of paying $110/hr to find this stuff out You ever decide to visit your old areas, let us know in advance - if you can cut free for a day, Philly is only 3 hours from here. Hardly a long drive - come on up and we can see about a BBQ or something.

Thought I'd throw in a quick tidbit to this; at 60k miles, you're going to be approaching a timing belt job, have you done it yet? If not, plan to within the next 10k miles, the last thing you want is that belt snapping or one of the tensioners seizing.

Wink

ooooo yesss. timing belt baby. in order i was planning on getting this oil leak fixed (valve cover gasket), then eventually clean the PCV's, change spark plugs, oil change, then timing belt. timing belt should be done by mid summer. considering my job is about a 4-5 miles away light commute. won't even break 200 miles.

was gonna get timing belt from ecstuning.com and have someone install it. i would do it myself but i haven't found a decent DIY to set my audi into TDC(Top dead center). but good thing is once i get my timing belt/water pump done and all yada yada, won't have to worry about it until about 115,00 miles (@ 60k right now). what my car really needs is a better sound system. but then again, listening to my engine sounds good to my ears.

yeah man i will definitely give you a heads up if i head over there during summer. got family in maryland as well. same to you too though brotha, you ever come down to Southern Cali and we'll throw a block party BBQ and just line up all our rides. my neighbor has a 67 chevy pick up, other neighbor has a shelby gt 500(eleanor wannabe), and this new guy on the block got a beemer m3 that looks real clean. somehow though, my audi seems to hold its own against their metal.
