Some of that may just be the car. Hiwords said he thought my car felt a lot different than his did the first time he drove mine - almost like the 01.5 was tuned to be more luxurious than the 99. The shift feel in his car is much different than mine as well, even though both are 5 speed cars and have the same engine.
