Default 2.8 Misfiring. Now it's a V4, heh

Yeah, sucks. I changed the plugs yesterday, ran good today, then fun struck.
As I was driving home, I started noticing the hesitation, then the pop from the engine as it ( sounded like to me ) was backfiring.
I've searched the forum, but only to find all the threads about the 1.8t's.
Plain and simply need to replace the wires? I saw a lot about coil packs.. but looks as though mine only has wires.
The engine was throwing codes for Cylinder 2 and 6 misfire, plus the random misfires.
How is it that it was fine before, and now after new plugs it suddenly starts this? Seems odd, but i'll hold off on my opionion untill I talk to those with experience. So let me know guys.. thanks!

Be sure that all the plugs are gapped correctly. I'm assuming that they gave you the right plugs - did you buy from a dealership or at the parts store? There's always a chance they grabbed the wrong ones. And it could be a coil pack. There are three of them at the top, front, and center of the engine. Pull the center beauty cover off the engine, and you'll see them there. You can check to see if the same one drives your two failing cylinders (I don't know, although that combination seems unlikely), but you could probably swap a couple wires on the coils and see if your codes migrate to new cylinders. Keep a chart in your notes while doing this and see if you can narrow it down to a particular coil.

Dude, I appreciate the help, really. I used the trial-and-error technique before I spent a load on new wires, only to well, find out that I needed, yeah, new wires, lol.

But it was cool, I've gotten to know the hot ladies ( yyeeaah ) that work at my local auto store, and got hooked up with a good deal. The wires I was going to order were $110, but ( I forget now why) they couldn't order them, so my only other option was a set that was $200 something. So she priced matched em for me.

So long story short, everythings peachy!

Thanks again bro

Awesome - glad to hear it The 30v is a smooth motor, but not when only 2/3 of it is working lol.
