2000 audi A4 2.8 quattro Turns over wont start.
I have a 2000 Audi A4 2.8 quattro that I was driving the night of my birthday, and parked it that night, there were no explosions no rough driving that night, I get up in the morning and my car just turns over and wont start. I replaced the ect sensor. I am getting fuel and air and spark. I finnally took it to a Audi Service Shop and after 200 dollars in diagnostics they came back and said that my valve cover seasl, and my valley seals are leaking so bad that spark plug boots are saturated with oil, I bought the blauparts gasket kit and a new timing belt and wires and plugs and am going to take it in and have the Mechanics do the job for me. Is this a known problem that causes a car not to start?????????????? please help me.

Oil is an insulator and shouldn't affect your spark plug boots, unless the core conductor has dissolved away. You won't short oout your spark by having oil in the plug wire holes. You taking this back to an Audi shop? That timing belt job is going to be on the high side of a grand even if you provide the parts.

So one night your car runs fine, no misses. The next day all 6 of the plugs, on two different banks, become so saturated with oil that none of them fire....and all 6 of them short out all at the same time?
No. You've got something else going on there.
