I looked around and there seems to be a bunch of different instructionals on how to program a new Fob. Does anyone have a method they have tried? I checked after I inserted the key and I am not seeing the immobilizer light so I should be able to program it myself right? And help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

I need to know this too, I've got a 2001 as well. My car came with nothing but the broken off key from the key fob. I've got the correct replacement fob, just need to get the new key cut and program it.

 

Directly from my 2001 owners manual. Programming a brand new keyfob may require something more as I've never had to.
